Preparatory visit was organized on 06/03/2015 by the Municipal Training Center, representing project coordinator Kaunas University of Technology. The aim was:
*agree principles, learning processes, methodologies, work plan and communication strategy;
*present ideas regarding partners work on volunteering and local context;
*identify learning needs for active citizenship and volunteering in each participating country;
*identify criteria of potential participants of events.
Statistic information on voluntary work in EU, with special regard to partner countries, gathered and analysed before the preparatory visit
During the first part of the meeting partner organisations presented themselves and provided short background of volunteering and public participation in their countries. It was discussed about the needs and possible solutions how to increase the level of active citizenship and volunteering in their countries within the project.
The schedule of project activities and preparation process reviewed. More attention was given to the preparation for the International Debates (Event No. 2) and the International Workshop (Event No. 3), most appropriate dates were chosen and responsibilities shared among all partners. Partners discussed also about local events to be organised in each participating country and shared their ideas and visions. Agreements were made on evaluation process and dissemination activities.
Project legal, management, coordination, communication, valorisation and other project management processes discussed and agreements made among project coordinating institution and partners.
- 16 participants representing all partner institutions took part at the project partnership meeting.
- Statistics of voluntary work in EU and project partner countries presented and analysed.
- Short backgrounds of volunteering and public participation in partner countries shared and discussed on this information.
- Agreements were made on communicating and reporting with project coordinator and between all the partners.
- International events were scheduled and the scope and partners need discussed, responsibilities shared among the partners.
- Preparatory visit minutes recorded and distributed among partners after the meeting to follow common agreements.
